How do I throw away test strips and lancets after I am done using them?

Test strips can go in the regular trash after you are done using them. 

Lancets should be thrown away in a sharps container. This is so the lancet will not hurt anyone. The container’s lid should fit tightly. The lancet needle should not be able to poke through the container. 

You can buy a sharps container through your pharmacy.
